During our last Greek night family barbeque, the menu included: different kind of steaks, sausages, souvlakis with chicken and pork, potato salad with eggs and tomato, tzatziki, tomato, feta, several baking dishes of roasted potatoes in the oven and many other salads. We have great enthusiasm and we dance around the pool.

Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. If you ask me one of the unique ways to experience the Greek culture (irrespectively of ones faith) is to participate or watch live the procession of the epitaph, an old ceremony that takes place every year this day, in every city or small village all around Greece. Oils of myrths with beautiful scents are all around the devout crowd. Here is an older video of today.

This winter was quite heavy with a lot of rain. Usually when we have a heavy winter then we have a very early and hot summer. In the previous years, the winters were very mild with no rain at all. This year I think that the summer will begin at late April and at the beginning of May the weather will be excellent!

During this winter time we went to the village and distilled our own raki with the old traditional way. In the following photos you can see our friends in the raki distillery (rakokazano) eating and singing together and having great time while waiting for the first raki.
